Demetris Pieri's passion for traditional Greek Cypriot cooking began at a very early age when he began working in local tavernas and hotels in his native Cyprus. Demetris' experience advanced to another level when he studied to become a chef and patisserie in Larnaca Institute of Technology in 1993. In his extensive culinary experience, Demetris has worked in some of Cyprus's renowned five star hotels, located in the Paralimni and Protaras area.
Demetris moved to Ireland in 2001 with his Irish wife. The absence of a Greek and Cypriot restaurant in Dublin inspired Chef Pieri to open such a restaurant, using the finest quality, locally sourced ingredients. Demetris remained true to his roots, offering tantalising Greek Cypriot inspired cuisine, tailor made for the Irish palate in Cape Greko.
